TURNING OVER A NEW LEIF

16:00, December 3rd, 2011

Jaroslaw Barglik raised to 7,000 from UTG and Leif Landmark moved all in from two seats down for 12,800. It was passed around to Mathias Camforts in the big blind who took several minutes before electing to fold.

Barglik made an automatic call with , behind to Landmark’s which was the way it stayed when the board ran out . Barglik still remains with a sizeable stack while Landmark is up to 30,000.

THE ‘KKILA BECOMES THE ‘KKILLED

15:51, December 3rd, 2011

The flop read when the chips went in, Ilkka Heikkila with a flush draw and gutshot and Laurynas Levinskas with two pair.

Heikkila:
Levinskas:

Turn: rendering all of Heikkila’s draws obsolete

River: an academic

Erstwhile press member (he was covering this tournament for a Fininsh site yesterday) Heikkila walked off in frustration, although his stack was so huge before the hand that he’s on no trouble at all now with 160,000 remaining. Levinskas however looks to be our new chip leader – he’s doubled to 235,000 or so.

LUPI BACK AROUND

15:43, December 3rd, 2011

Massimilliano Lupi bet out 12,000 on the turn of a board and must have felt fairly confident during the lengthy dwell from John Lundqvist on the button. But after a minute or two Lundqvist shoved, and Lupi gave it up, leaving himself on around 53,000. He shoved from the button next hand, but only got the blinds and antes for his trouble. Lunqvist is at around 80,000.

SENT HOLM

15:31, December 3rd, 2011

Kennet Westerholm has been eliminated, all in with against Claus Uhrskov’s and the board came , Uhrskov allowing himself a little shout of delight as he made trips on the river.

PIM TEEMUING WITH CHIPS

15:22, December 3rd, 2011

Teemu Autio opened to 6,600 from early position and Marco Della Monica made the call in the small blind. Pim van Wieringen then three-bet to 17,600 out of the big blind, Autio moved all in and Monica folded but the Dutchman made a snap-call.

Autio:
van Wieringen:

The board was and van Wieringen doubled his 69,400 stack, he’s now got nearly 150,000 while Autio drops to roughly 40,000.

PURTOKAS LIFTED OUT OF POVERTY

15:18, December 3rd, 2011

Povilas Purtokas has doubled to over 100,000, his making the nut flush on a board.

NIKING CHIPS

15:18, December 3rd, 2011

The mohawked Ilja Nikoforov has just doubled up his 23,000 stack – pushing with and Mairo Tori giving him a spin from the small blind holding .

The board came and Nikoforov is back in the game.

A KLAASS APART

15:14, December 3rd, 2011

Ricardo Adrianus Klaassen has got extremely lucky and cracked Justas Vaichiulionis’ aces. I’m not sure when the chips went in, but the important thing is that they did go in and Klaassen doubled up to 95,000.

Klaassen:
Vaichiulionis:

LEVEL UP

15:07, December 3rd, 2011

The price of poker just went up – blinds are now 1,500/3,000 with a 300 ante. We’re down to 79 players already.

MAKING HIS MARCO

14:57, December 3rd, 2011

Marco Della Monica has doubled up through Pim van Wieringen. We didn’t see where the money went in on the J-5-A-7-9 board but van Wieringen was caught with the not very impressive 4-3 offsuit, no good against Della Monca’s A-Q as the Italian doubled up to around 70,000.

GOING VISSCHING

14:54, December 3rd, 2011

There was over 24,000 already in the pot on the river where Koen De Visscher had checked across to Jevgenijus Vaitkevicius, the latter betting 6,500. De Visscher thought for a couple of minutes, not liking it but he eventually made the call.

Vaitkevicius showed and De Visscher turned over to win the pot.

MINDAUGAS DONE FOR

14:42, December 3rd, 2011

Mindaugas Skackauskasis busto in the most unfortunate of circumstances. His chips went into the middle preflop, but when they came out again they weren’t his any more.

Skackauskasis:
Jarkko Erkinheimo:

Board:

The devil’s own hand sent Skackauskasis to the rail and simultaneously propelled Erkinheimo up to 105,000.

HARKES! A NEW LEASE OF LIFE

14:34, December 3rd, 2011

Peter Harkes just hit a double up in entertaining fashion, he was all in with against Dalius Meskelevicius’ . The looked good for Harkes but the on the turn sent him majorly behind, he had picked up a flush draw however and the on the river completed said flush, he’s up to almost 40,000 now.

KLIMET CONTROL

14:34, December 3rd, 2011

Klimetij Zhukov has busted. It looked as though Soren Markusian was the assassin, but I’m afraid I have no more information than that. Back to Russia for Mr. Zhukov.

ZOMG EXITS

14:16, December 3rd, 2011

The field is dropping faster than an elephant skydiver at the moment. We’ve lost Nikolaos Angelis who pushed all in preflop with but found Niels De Maere reshoving behind him with – the latter holding on a board.

Paul Valkenburg, Unibet London Winner, is out. He three-bet all in from the button against a cutoff raise with K-J but found one of the blinds behind him reraising all in with Tens which held.

Other exits so far include Kaupo Tenno who seemingly gave all his chips (almost 80,000!) to Illka Heikkala. Simon Herrmann and Mikael Koistinen are also apparently out.
