What could be lovelier than springtime in Paris? The Unibet Open coming to Paris, is what! We are offering you a chance to fall in love with poker all over again in the City of Romance from May 3rd-6th as the Unibet Open lands in France. It’s going to be magnifique!
Our first ever French outing will introduce the legendary Unibet spirit to a country already renowned for its joie de vivre – with poker and partying a-plenty, Paris is the place to be this May.
Our venue for the week will be the newly opened Cercle Cadet Poker Room, right in the bustling heart of this beautiful capital city. Hosting 20 tables and offering a variety of cash games and tournaments in addition to the Main Event, the Cercle Cadet is the ideal venue for playing poker in central Paris – c’est tres jolie!
Our players’ home for the week will be the luxurious 4* Hotel Concorde La Fayette, nestled between the business district of La Defense and the shopping district of the Triangle d’Or, close to the Champs Elysees. One of the largest hotels in Paris, the Hotel Concorde La Fayette offers spectacular views across Paris and every amenity a poker player could possibly want, including a private health club and the exclusive “La Vue” bar 33 floors above the city. Perfectly located for sightseeing, the Eiffel Tower, Arc de Triomphe, the Louvre and the Musee d’Orsay are all within easy walking distance.
Qualifiers will be running from late February on Unibet – click here for all the details. Vive la France!

GETTING TO PARIS
• By air
There are direct flights to Paris Airports from all major European cities operated by all major airlines. In addition, the following low-cost companies fly into Paris daily: Easyjet and Ryanair. Paris has two major international airports: Aéroport d'Orly, 14km (8 2/3 miles) south of the city, and Aéroport Roissy-Charles de Gaulle, 22km (14 miles) northeast. A shuttle makes the 50/75min. journey between the two airports about every 30 minutes and costs €16. A ride from the airport into the city should take approximately 40 minutes and cost around €45 depending on traffic. More info in http://www.paris.com/tourism/getting_there/flying_to_paris
• By train
If you are traveling to Paris from within continental Europe or from the U.K., taking a train can be a great alternative to flying. The Eurostar bullet train connects London St. Pancras station to Paris-Gare du Nord in only 2 hours and 15 minutes. There are a number of daily connections to Paris from major European cities – see http://www.eurostar.com/dynamic/index.jsp for details. A ride from Paris-Gare du Nord to the hotel should take approximately 18 minutes and cost around €14 depending on traffic.
• By coach
Eurolines operate a modern luxury coach network covering the major european cities. Prices which include sea crossings and road tolls start from €49 return to Paris when booked in advance. There are coaches to Paris from many European destinations; see http://www.eurolines.co.uk/ for more information. Up to 10 daily services run from Victoria coach station in London to their dedicated terminal at Gallieni in the east of Paris. Most coaches will terminate at that terminal which is within a 18 minute taxi ride from the hotel and from the tournament venue.
• By car
The major highways into Paris are A1 from the north (Great Britain and Benelux); A13 from Rouen, Normandy, and other points northwest; A10 from Bordeaux, the Pyrénées, the southwest, and Spain; A6 and A7 from the French Alps, the Riviera, and Italy; and A4 from eastern France, Metz, Nancy, and Strasbourg. A péage (toll) must be paid on most expressways outside Ile-de-France: the rate varies but can be steep. Certain booths allow you to pay with a credit card. Driving in Paris is not recommended as parking is difficult and traffic dense. The motorway speed limit is 130kmph and the speed limit in urban areas is 50kmph. Paris is 459km from London, 501km from Amsterdam, 1.051km from Berlin, 1.360km from Copenhagen and 1.602km from Warsaw.
