Wow, what an extraordinary set of hands! Tim van de Riet opened in early position with :::Kh :::Qc and got a bunch of calls behind – check out these hands:

When it got around to Tomasz Kozub in the big blind, though, instead of a flat call he decided that this would be a perfect time to squeeze. It wasn’t. He moved all in for 595k, but Lightbourne now re-shoved with his :::Ad :::Qh. Everyone else got out of their way, and they went to showdown.

Flop: :::Ac :::Qs :::4c – with all the tens in the deck gone, Kozub was drawing rather thinner than he realised

Turn: :::9d, eliminating the possibility of a flush

River: :::2s, awarding the pot to Lightbourne and sending Kozub home from his third Unibet Open final with a £6,700 ninth place cash.
