‘HensiePensie’ Returns to Action

Unibet Poker Belgian Championship 2019 - Main Event (Day 1A) 089 William Hens ((C) Tambet Kask 2019)

Regulars to the Unibet Open and UK Tour may have spotted the familiar name of William ‘HensiePensie’ Hens creeping up the chip counts today!

Hens has been a popular figure on the Unibet live tour for many years now, and even streams on Twitch when playing on the Unibet virtual felt.

Hens came into Day 2 as one of the big stacks after an impressive run-up to 240,000 in Day 1a, and he has been able to continue in the same vein.

“Queens first hand of the day was nice!” said Hens.

“The flop came Queen-blank-blank but unfortunately my opponent folded.

“I also flopped the nuts with ten-nine and was able to knock out an opponent who held two pair with ace-king.”

Hens is making his second visit to Blankenberge for the UBPC having won a seat via the regional qualifiers, and despite taking a break from live poker over the past 18 months, he is feeling good to be back.

“Poker comes in waves. Motivation goes up and down, just like the profit swings do.

“I have a ticket to use for the Unibet UK Tour, so Brighton is on the cards again. I also want to win a seat to Malta. We will see how I do here; the final chance is tomorrow evening.”

If Hens continues in the same fashion, it will be likely he could be still battling here in Casino Blankenberge rather than the online streets. But with everything still to play for, it remains to be seen.
