Win your way into a live event this Spring!

Unibet players have the chance to win their way to some thrilling live events over the next few months with satellites running on Unibet Poker for three great festivals. From the Patrik Antonius Challenge in Tallinn, to enjoying the craic in Dublin or sunning yourself in Malta, there are some truly fantastic live events coming up.

The Malta Poker Festival and the Dublin Poker Festival are two of Europe’s most popular events and Unibet is giving players the chance to qualify for tournaments at both these fantastic festivals for as little as one cent. Also coming up is the Patrik Antonius Challenge which is being held in the beautiful Estonian capital of Tallinn in early April.

The Patrik Antonius Poker Challenge (PAPC) – April 8-10

A series of weekly qualifiers are being held on Unibet Poker for the Main Event at the Patrik Antonius Poker Challenge. The festival runs April 4-10 with the €1,650 buy-in Main Event kicking off on April 8 with two start flights. Unibet players can qualify for as little as one cent to satellites guaranteeing entry to the Unibet Poker’s Sunday weekly finals which are being held at 8pm on March 13, March 20 and March 27. At least three packages worth €2,000 are up for grabs in each final and Unibet Open tickets can be used for any of the satellites or weekly qualifiers. The €2k prize package includes the €1,650 Main Event buy-in plus €350 spending money – just look for “Unibet Live” or “PAPC” on the Unibet Poker client.

For Patrik Antonius’s huge army of fans, the Unibet Poker packages are absolute gold dust. The €2k prize includes an exclusive “meet and greet” with the Finnish poker legend alongside entry into a special live SNG on Thursday, April 7, the day before the Main Event begins. Furthermore, all Unibet Main Event qualifiers will be invited to compete in a special “Challenge Patrik” shoot-out and heads-up tournament. All participants will win a prize with the winner playing Patrik himself in a thrilling heads-up final, as well as getting an exclusive weekend coaching and poker trip in Monaco, hosted by Patrik.

First held in 2019, the Patrik Antonius Poker Challenge (PAPC) features a packed 29-event tournament schedule at the Olympic Park Casino in Tallinn. In addition to the Main Event, Unibet players can also qualify online for the €440 buy-in Unibet Progressive Bounty Championship which is taking place on Saturday, April 9. There will be €50 online qualifiers on Unibet Poker with satellite finals guaranteeing three seats running every Wednesday at 8pm CET until March 30 along with last chance super qualifiers on Wednesday March 6 at 6pm and 7pm CET.

There are also tons of other high and low buy-in events, satellites and mix-games taking place at the festival: click here to check out the whole PAPC schedule. Antonius himself has won more than $12 million at live poker tournaments and is also one of the world’s most successful online players.  For more info and the full PAPC schedule, please visit: https://www.firstlandofpoker.com/en/papc/

The Malta Poker Festival – April 25–May 2

Unibet DeepStack Open is the official online sponsor for the forthcoming Malta Poker Festival at Portomaso Casino and is running satellites for the €300,000 guarantee Main Event on both Unibet.com and on Unibet.fr. Set over an entire week from April 25 to May 2, the massive Malta Poker Festival features nearly 20 tournaments. The Main Event kicks off on Tuesday, April 26, with a total of six start flights including a Day 1f Turbo. The final is on May 2.

The Malta Poker Festival Main Event will also be a truly deep stack event with players all receiving a 50,000 starting stack and two re-entries allowed per flight. As well as the UDSO-sponsored Main Event, the festival features a ton of other tournaments including the €220 buy-in Hendon Mob Championship, the €120 APAT Maltese Championship, a €1,100 High Roller and a €100 Ladies Event. At the last Malta Poker Festival in 2019, the Main Event attracted 1,324 entries and created a guarantee-busting prize pool of over €640,000.

Unibet players can qualify for as little as one cent with feeder satellites leading up to three Sunday weekly finals. These are being held at 8pm on April 3, April 10 and April 17. Three packages worth €2,000 are up for grabs in each final which include the €550 Main Event buy-in, five nights’ accommodation and €350 spending money. Unibet Open tickets can be used for any of the satellites or weekly qualifiers – just look for “Unibet Live” or “Malta Poker Festival” on the Unibet Poker client.

During the two-year pandemic, Portomaso Casino was the only poker room on the island of Malta that opened. The Casino was hosting regular MTTs but this is the first major international poker event there since the pandemic began.

Dublin Poker Festival – April 28 – May 8

Dublin Poker Festival is heading into its ninth year in 2022 with a fabulous event featuring a total of 39 different tournaments at the Bonnington Hotel Conference Centre starting April 28. Unibet Poker is a huge fan of the Dublin Poker Festival and sponsored the last Festival back in 2020. As it happens, this was one of the last live poker festivals to be held in Ireland before the pandemic took hold.

This year, Unibet players are being given the chance to qualify for two of the main events of the festival – the €300 buy-in Amateur Championship of Poker (ACOP) which starts on April 28 and the €570 European Deepstack Main Event which kicks off on May 5.  Irish poker legend Andy Black won the last ACOP event in 2020 with fellow Irishman Stephen Kehoe taking down the European Deepstack. In 2008, Unibet Ambassador Dara O’Kearney won the European Deepstack – a breakthrough victory that helped launch his professional poker career.

Satellites for the ACOP event start March 14 on Unibet with weekly qualifiers costing €50 to enter and guaranteeing seven tickets into the tournament. Satellites will run daily on Unibet Poker with buy-ins of both €1 and €5.  For the €570 buy-in European Deepstack, there will be weekly final qualifiers costing €50 to enter with four tickets guaranteed. The satellites will also start March 14 and run through to April 27. Daily feeder satellites will have buy-ins of €1 and €7.

Nataly Sopacuaperu, Unibet Open’s Head of Events and Sponsorship, said: “We’re really excited to be offering our players these fantastic opportunities to compete at live events again.  We have first-hand experience of all these events – the Patrik Antonius Poker Challenge as well as the Malta and Dublin poker festivals and know players are going to have an amazing time. Good luck to everyone and hope to see you there!”
