Good afternoon and welcome back to the wood-panelled confines of the Hilton Prague’s grand ballroom, where our second and final flight of poker hopefuls are about to take their shot at Unibet Open glory.
Yesterday 117 players competed, with young Belgian Jonas Mols finishing up top of the chip count pops, with Polish player Dariusz Paszkiewicz not far behind in second place – the latter no stranger to success here in Prague, after he finished 16th in this event back in 2010.
Today we are expecting a rather larger field, including Unibet Ambassador Paul Valkenburg among their number. Currently we’re looking at a sea of tables empty but for dealers and the occasional wandering floorman, but within half an hour this room will be seething with poker players.
