Day 2 O’Clock

UO-Tallinn_TK_day1b_2014-2.jpgGood morning and welcome back to Tallinn! Outside the weather finally seems to be picking up – there’s just the barest hint of sunshine hovering over the city in the direction of the Old Town, just right for taking a leisurely stroll through the picturesque cobbled streets or stopping for an al fresco glass of Vana Tallinn liqueur at one of the many charming cafes.

All that is a terrible shame for the 114 stalwarts who survived the two Day 1s and are now milling around in the tournament area, preparing to do battle at the felt here in the ballroom at the Radisson Blu Hotel Olümpia.

Estonia’s own Kuldar Metsla leads the pack as we head into the day, but there’s really not much in it between the top ten or so – a number of players, including former Unibet Open champion Dmitry Varlamov, are hovering at around the 150k mark, and it’s anyone’s game as we start down the road towards the final table. Please click here to see a full list of chip counts, along with the seating plan for the day.

Other players of particular note who are still in possession of chips include WPT finalist Sampo Ryynanen, EPT finalist Toni Pettersson and Unibet’s own Paul Valkenburg.

Play is just getting underway now – please stand by for updates! The live stream will also once again be up and running from 2pm, so there is no reason at all to depart from the comfort of your computer. Good luck, all!
