Ladies and gentlemen of the internet, that is your lot!
We have played through nine levels today and our starting field of 127 has whittled itself down to just 59. Following a quick sweep of the floor, our top three appear to be Puja Heino on 152,700, Dmitry Varlamov (pictured right with the now-busted Peter Harkes) on 147,600 and Priit Türner on 136,300. Full chip counts for all the Day 1a survivors will be up shortly over on the chip counts page.
Tomorrow’s Day 1b promises to be at least as much fun as Day 1a, with Unibet Open London winner Paul Valkenburg, Unibet Open Cannes champion Quentin Lecomte and two-time Unibet Open finalist Tomasz Kozub among those already registered. We’ll be back in the ballroom at the Radisson Blu Hotel Olümpia from noon following their every raise, reraise, check and fold, and the live stream will once again be running from 2pm. Tomorrow also sees the return of the ever-popular Omaha Flips championship at 9pm, and the super satellite to the High Roller event at 10pm.
Until then, we understand that the Welcome Drinks party is still raging! We’ll see you at the bar…
