We just witnessed the elimination of Thomas Svendgaard up on the feature table, his A-8 entirely inadequate against Ranno Sootla’s pocket jacks. The board ran out an ace-free 7-2-5-2-3 and Sootla got up to shake his newly eliminated opponent’s hand as Svendgaard was dispatched to the cash desk to collect his 17th place money.
