After Unibet Open 2009 saw the year out in style in Warsaw, the eagerly anticipated first leg of the New Year’s tour will soon be kicking off with Unibet Open’s first tournament of 2010, to be held March 4th-7th in the beautiful Hungarian capital Budapest.

Last year in Budapest, Spaniard Alvaro Aspas bested a 360-strong field to claim the title and €135,000, and with players joining the field from all over Europe this tournament looks set to hit a new record and crown a new champion. It all takes place in the five-star Sofitel hotel over four days, with side events, cash action and the legendary Unibet Open parties to fill the week with poker.

As a tourist destination, Budapest is known for its stunning beauty, natural and architectural. Buda Castle, the numerous museums, water caves and views along the Danube are just a few of the sights that await those who can tear themselves from the felt long enough to visit.

Important Information

Smoking

is not permitted at the tournament tables or in the tournament area.

Identification

If you visit the casino you also need to take with you an identity card or passport to gain entry into the complex.

Dress Code

Smart-casual, especially for the main casino floor.

The tournament area will be a bit more relaxed, but the casino still does not allow shorts, vests, flip-flop shoes, sleeveless shirts and ripped clothing.

TRAVEL FROM AIRPORT TO CASINO/HOTEL

Recommended: Use an authorized taxi service from the airport – approximately – 6500 HUF / 25 Euro.

WELCOME DESK

We will have a Unibet-staffed welcome desk in the foyer at the Sofitel Hotel. It will be open from Wednesday 3rd of March at 12.00.

PLAYERS’ LOUNGE IN THE CASINO

A players’ Lounge is located near the tournament area. There will also be a betting corner managed by Unibet’s Sportsbook team.
